We look forward to adding New York City and New York State to the growing list of municipalities where we collect and remit transient occupancy taxes. For now, New York lawmakers have declined to act, keeping in place outdated laws created for large hotels with teams of lawyers and accountants to handle their tax obligations, not regular people who share the homes in which they live on occasion.
